Custom Export cases are our speciality
Whatever you need to ship we can build a custom protective case to ensure your goods are well protected to their final destination. The importance of good packaging should not be understeimated because bad packaing may adversley affect your insurance.
Export Packaging Materials
We commonly use wood to build custom export cases primarily because it is easy to use and very strong if used with a robust case design. However, wood used for export case must conform to the ISPM 15 International Standard to ensure that bacteria and bugs are not being harboured in the wood. If your packing case does not have an ISPM 15 certificate then your goods may be refused entry into many countries that carefully control goods imports.
Handling
We have nearly 30 years experience of building custom shipping cases with handling designed in. Load bearing points used by cranes and forklifts are engineered to ensure that even under full load stress, there is ample margin to allow for any strength variations in the timber used.
We also re-enforce sides with cross members to ensure that they can fully withstand the pressure of lifting belts or ropes.
Packing Case Size
These days most heavy goods are shipped by sea in a container which may also be stuffed with other goods to reduce shippping cost. We are aware of standard container shipping dimensions and we build cases not only to fit within the container but also to ensure that there is no lateral movement possible once the packed case is within the container.
Markings
We provide the appropriate markings on all cases to inform handlers of any desired orientation and the fragility of the internal goods.
